GOD! It is here. I Saw the invisible!  1

It was around 25 years ago, I still remember it. We were in our village in West Bengal. Well, I am calling it a village because have heard it so since childhood. This was my first visit, I had just stepped in my 16th year. Have been in different cities of Karnataka, with my parents and elder brother, who was four years older. He had visited West Bengal earlier but for me, this was the first visit. The journey by train from Bangalore to Howrah was uneventful. In Howrah, had not seen so many people, but was told to expect the crowd and other ancillaries, so was not surprised. Then straight to the village. The big house was already full of people. It took four days to finish with the function, and today all were leaving. I was looking for visiting Kolkata - the city of joy from the next day.

It was around 5 pm, we were talking about visiting the city. Suddenly, he said, 'Let us go to the Sealdah market. There was a local train from the nearest station at 7:12 pm and let us catch that.' I got excited, it would have been my first travel in a local train. Father and brother also agreed, so the relative, my mama, father, brother, and me, we four decided to go. We left the home, took a shared autorickshaw to the local railway station. It was called Dunlop station, but the official name was something else. After a while, there was the announcement of the train and Mama guided all of us to a particular place on the platform saying that place the coach would be less crowded. The platform was not crowded. The train entered the platform, stopped, and I was told it would stop only for seconds. Mama, brother, and father were ahead of me, they jumped into the train, it was a bit higher than the platform. I followed them, the last step on the platform and the next would be on the train, and No. There was a crack in the platform, and I could not keep my next foot in the train, I went down, one leg in the crack, feet stuck between the train floor and platform. The whistle was heard, signaling its departure. Father, turned his head back and shouted, few passengers shouted, what- I could not hear, my throat choked, I was going to die. Yes, going to be dragged by the train the next second.

Suddenly, felt two strong hands holding me from behind before I could realize, the hands pulled me up, my leg was out of the crack, the hands lifted me and pushed into the train coach. There were many hands that held me from within the train, including my brother, father, and mama. The train was already moving. I had pain in my leg but was fortunate enough to feel the pain, not dead. We got down at the next station, took a taxi back, and also medical attention.

But whose hands it was, No, I have not seen, nor my brother and father could see it. As if it was a shadow from nowhere, someone, unnamed, unseen, just two hands, pulled me and saved. Yes, I felt God. I felt invisible.
